After accidently playing the main stage at Benicassim this summer, China Rats are now set to release their next single (At Least Those) Kids Are Getting Fed on October 8th. The Leeds 4-piece find inspiration for their songs through real life encounters and experiences. Frontman Graeme Thomson says of the single, ‘Recently me and Luke were living in Armley which has got a reputation of being a pretty run down part of Leeds. We loved it though and the band still rehearses there. We wrote a bunch of songs whilst we were living there including “Kids Are Getting Fed” which was influenced by the local kids who used to hang out on our street.’ Another catchy number, reminiscent of the Ramones, it won’t be long before the China Rats are ringing in all of our ears.
Despite their mainstage performance, China Rats are keen to get more gigs under their belt so they are performing a series of UK dates around the single release.
